Dengue fever on the decline

The chief of the Phuket Provincial Health Office (PPHO) has confirmed that the number of dengue fever cases in Phuket has decreased and that it is no longer a cause for concern, reports The Phuket News.

Phuket is currently ranked fourth out of the seven upper provinces of southern Thailand in relation to the number of cases of dengue fever.

Although the situation in Phuket is improving, the PPHO will continue with its intensive measures to control and prevent the virus.

Measures to reduce the number of mosquitoes and mosquito bites by eliminating key breeding areas will continue.
