South African Airways (SAA) has resumed flights between Johannesburg and Hong Kong following Typhoon Mangkhut, eTNW reports.
The airline has deployed a bigger aircraft to operate over the next two days as it tries to accommodate affected passengers.
The airline’s rebooking policy applies for SAA tickets issued on/before September 17. The policy also states that customers are able to rebook on another SAA flight for a later date at no extra charge and subject to availability, in the same cabin. A change in cabin or change of routing will not be permitted.
This policy is applicable to SAA-operated flights only, issued on SA (083) ticket stock and not on separate tickets of other airlines.
Tickets must be re-issued on/before September 20 and travel must commence on/before September 25. No waiver on cancellation and refund applications applies.
