The risk of severe thunderstorms and flooding downpours will return to parts of US today, April 6, AccuWeather warns.
Beginning this afternoon, April 6, the greatest risk for severe thunderstorms is likely to extend from northeastern and part of north-central Texas to northern Louisiana, southeastern Oklahoma, southern Arkansas and northwestern Mississippi.
Thunderstorms in this area may bring large hail, strong wind gusts and flash flooding to Dallas, Jackson, Memphis and Nashville. Travel on the roads and at airports will be disrupted.
Throughout the severe weather risk area, a small number of the thunderstorms may spin up a tornado as well.
