The United Kingdom will face another round of frigid air and snowfall as the ‘Beast from the East’ returns this weekend, AccuWeather says.
With gusty winds factored in, temperatures may feel similar to seven below zero C during the day in Manchester, Cardiff and London.
Rainy spells across the eastern UK today, March 16, will gradually turn wintry snow as the cold air invades. The snow showers may then spread westward across England and Wales as the weekend progresses.
The conditions are expected to delay travel both on the road and at airports. This includes London’s Heathrow airport.
Whilst the most numerous snow showers and core of the cold are expected to south, a few snow showers may graze Northern Ireland and western Scotland.
The ‘Beast from the East’ will gradually release its grip from the UK early next week.
Travellers should anticipate severe travel delays.
