A system-wide computer outage led to long lines and delays at airports across Canada yesterday, March 13, CBC News reports.
There were reports of long lines at airports, including those in Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal and Calgary.
Yesterday morning, Air Canada told passengers it was experiencing "an interruption" with the check-in process, and online at aircanada.com
Later in the day, the airline reported that its computer systems had been restored, but that it expected flight delays to continue through to today as it works to clear the backlog caused by the disruption.
Travellers are advised to check the status of their flight before heading to the airport.
