Bali volcano spews smoke, flights unaffected

The Mount Agung volcano on Bali is spewing a thick plume of grey smoke two-kilometres into the atmosphere, Sky News reports.

The volcano's alert remains at the highest level but the island's international airport is currently operating normally.

Authorities raised the warning alert to the highest level on November 27 and ordered the evacuation of nearly 100,000 people.

The situation will be monitored and any relevant updates will follow.
