The South African Weather Service has issued a weather watch for today, August 11, due to the possibility of localised flooding in places across the Cape Metropole and southern parts of Cape Winelands, News24 claims.
Gale force wind warnings are also in effect between Table Bay and Cape Agulhas, with north-westerly winds of up to 60-75km/h expected.
The City’s Disaster Risk Management Centre (DRMC) is on standby to coordinate any emergency response that may be required as a result of the expected weather conditions.

The conditions will likely affect travel in the city. Flight delays are possible.
