Zambian airline introduces DRC flights

Zambia’s local airline, Mahogany Air, has operated its first flight to Lubumbashi in the Democratic Republic of Congo from Lusaka.

Mahogany Air CEO, Jim Belemu, says this is part of his company’s expansion drive, that will see more routes opening up.

Lusaka Province Minister, Bowman Lusambo, says the flights will enhance trade and tourism between the two countries.

The flights operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays:

  • Departing from Lusaka at 10h30, arriving in Lubumbashi at 13h00.
  • The return flight departs from Lubumbashi at 14h00 and arrives in Lusaka at 16h30.
