IHG signs India property


InterContinental Hotels (IHG) has signed a management agreement with Indroyal Hospitality Services Pvt Ltd for Crowne Plaza Amaravati. The 300-room hotel will be the first IHG hotel in the city and is expected to be operational by 2024.

The hotel will also feature 1 858 sqm of meeting space, a business centre, outdoor pool and a gymnasium. There will be an all-day-dining outlet, a speciality restaurant, as well as a lobby lounge and bar.  

Amaravati, the future capital of Andhra Pradesh, is being developed into a world-class city, expected to attract both domestic and international travellers.

IHG currently has 39 hotels operating across four brands in India, including InterContinental Hotels and Resorts, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express. The brand also has plans for another 39 hotels in the next two to three years.
