Austrian reveals summer schedule


Austrian Airlines has released details of its 2019 summer schedule, effective March 31. There is an increase in flights from Vienna to Germany, Tokyo, Los Angeles and New York and a new inaugural service to Montreal.

The carrier will fly up to 39 times a week to Hamburg, an increase of 11 flights compared with the 2018 summer flight schedule. Up to 56 flights will be serviced to Berlin-Tegel and up to 40 weekly connections to Düsseldorf, an increase of two a week in each case. One additional flight will be operated to Stuttgart, amounting to 32 flights per week.

Austrian Airlines will operate 263 weekly flights between Vienna and Germany.

The first Austrian Airlines flight to Montreal will depart from Vienna on April 29, with daily flights thereafter.

Other North American destinations in the 2019 summer schedule include Miami – four times a week; Los Angeles – one additional service, moving it up to daily; and New York – an additional daily flight operated to both JFK and Newark.

Altogether, the carrier will operate 46 weekly flights to North America.

The 2019 schedule also sees an increase in flights to Tokyo, which will now be serviced daily, up two flights from last year.
