Waldorf Astoria Chicago has launched Bedside Reading – a hotel amenity that places books by the bedsides in five-star and boutique hotels in the US.
Starting this month, guests at Waldorf Astoria Chicago will have a selection of complimentary vetted and curated books, including bestsellers, newly discovered authors from major, as well as independent, publishers. Book titles are renewed each month and guests can either keep the copies or leave it at the hotel for the next guest.
The books available for the month of February are ‘Every Note Played’ by Lisa Genova and ‘The Silhouette Girl’ by V.C. Andrews.
The hotel has 215 rooms and suites that feature private terraces, fireplaces, marble bathrooms with tubs, separate showers and vanities with inset LCD televisions. There is also WiFi, 24-hour in-room dining, laundry and dry-cleaning services, complimentary use of hotel courtesy cars to destinations within a three kilometre radius of the hotel and valet parking onsite.
