Hyatt Regency returns to Kuwait

Following recent openings in Ethiopia and Seattle, Hyatt Hotels Corporation has opened another Regency hotel, this time in Kuwait.

The Hyatt Regency Al Kout Mall will see the reintroduction of the Hyatt Regency brand in the country, and will be followed by the opening of the Grand Hyatt Kuwait, which is expected in 2020.

The hotel offers 200 guestrooms, including 53 Junior suites, 67 Regency suites, and 14 two-bedroom Premium suites. All guestrooms and suites have a workspace, as well as views over the Arabian Sea or the Fahaheel district.

For meetings and events there are 2 400 sqm of flexible meeting spaces, which includes five co-working spaces that can accommodate up to 22 people. There are four meeting rooms covering 420 sqm featuring breakout rooms, an outdoor terrace, and audio-visual technology. There is also the 475 sqm Regency Ballroom, which can be used for bigger events. A dedicated event manager is also available to help organise and run the event.

Dining and drink options include Andiamo, an Italian restaurant with an open kitchen, and The Lobby Lounge serving coffee, teas, and mocktails. Healthy juices and smoothies are served at the rooftop pool lounge.

The hotel also features a 24-hour fitness centre, Club Olympus, which has strength, cardio, and weight training machines, and its own sauna.

The hotel is in Kuwait’s oil and gas district, within Kuwait City’s largest waterfront retail and leisure destination, providing easy access to the Al Kout Mall, the Al Kout Fisherman’s Wharf, and the Al Kout seaside promenade. It is 25 minutes from Kuwait international Airport, and a 45-minute drive from the Saudi Arabian border.
