Indonesia: Tremors continue to shake island

The island of Lombok in Indonesia has been hit by two further earthquakes, after weeks of tremors that have killed hundreds of people, according to the BBC.

On August 19, a 6.3 magnitude quake killed one person and destroyed homes near the town of Belanting. The quake was felt in the east of the island, and caused landslides.

A 7.0 tremor was reported later in the same area.

The island has been hit by hundreds of quakes and tremors since July 29, with the largest being the 6.9 magnitude quake that killed over 450 people on August 5.
