Zimbabwe: Tensions high as Harare CBD closes its stores

Businesses in Harare have closed as the wait for the results of the Zimbabwean presidential election continues, the BBC reports.
Soldiers and police are patrolling the streets, after three people were killed on Wednesday (August 1) in clashes between supporters of Nelson Chamisa and security forces.
Chamisa, the leader of the opposition, contends that Monday’s elections were rigged in current President Mnangagwa’s favour.
The Foreign and Commonwealth office advises travellers to avoid any public gatherings or demonstrations.
