UK/France: London Eurostar workers threaten to strike

Eurostar staff in London may strike for 24 hours next week because of dangerous levels of overcrowding, according to Express.

Rail Union RMT confirmed that its members will strike for 24 hours on July 28, just as the holiday period begins. The Union said that breakdowns in the service and dangerous working conditions are to blame.

An estimated 140 staff members will take part in the action, and this is likely to cause disruptions for passengers travelling to Paris on the Eurostar.
