Ghana looking to establish new flag carrier

Ghana’s aviation minister, Cecelia Dapaah, has confirmed that three airlines are being considered for the establishment of a national carrier, reports Inside Travel. Dapaah said Air Mauritius, Ethiopian Airlines and Africa World Air were in discussion with the government to establish a new flag carrier on a public-private basis.
Following the demise of Ghana Air more than a decade ago, as well as its successor Ghana International Airways a few years later, Dapaah recently said that her ministry was assessing proposals for a suitable government partner.
