Emirates ups service to Nigeria

Emirates will reinstate its second daily service to Lagos and resume operations to Abuja on December 15. The Dubai-Abuja service will operate four times a week.

Both daily Lagos flights will be operated with a 360-seat Boeing 777-300ER, configured in three classes. Abuja will be serviced with a Boeing 777-300, with 360 seats in three classes.

Orhan Abbas, Emirates senior vp, commercial operations, Africa, said: “Nigeria is a key market to Emirates and its importance is reflected by the fact that we will add 11 weekly flights between Dubai and the major cities of Lagos and Abuja.”

The additional Lagos flight, EK781, will depart Dubai at 03h55 to arrive in Lagos at 09h05. Return flight EK782 will depart Lagos at 12h40 and arrive in Dubai at 22h55.

Abuja flight EK785 will depart Dubai every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 10h35 and arrive in Abuja at 15h35. The return flight, EK786, will depart Abuja at 18h55 and arrive in Dubai at 04h35 the next day. Arrival time in Dubai has been timed for shorter transits for passengers connecting to Emirates’ early-morning flights to other destinations.
