Revealed: The countries that offer best value flights

Online travel agency Kiwi.com has released its annual Flight Price Index for 2017, which ranks 80 nations according to their domestic and international airfare prices. To find the average price of flights from each nation, Kiwi.com analysed over one million flights.
According to the 2017 Flight Price Index, Malaysia offers the best value flights with an average flight cost of R54.73 ($4.18) per 100km, factoring in both short- and long-haul flights. The next best value destinations for air travel are Bulgaria, India, Turkey, Romania, Indonesia, Portugal, Thailand, Sweden and Spain rounded out the top 10.
The 2017 Flight Price Index also uncovered the most expensive destinations for air travel. Oman topped the list with an average flight cost of R439.13 ($33.54) per 100km, followed by Lebanon, Austria, Serbia, Solomon Islands, United Arab Emirates, Chile, Qatar, Netherlands and Belgium.
