Lagoon Beach Hotel in Cape Town has undergone several refurbishments during the last two months, including the upgrading of the Wi-Fi.
“The upgrade was completed in May and we now offer 100MB fibre connectivity throughout the hotel and conference area,” says Teena Douglas, the hotel’s sales and marketing managers.
This, she said, allowed the hotel to offer better quality and higher Wi-Fi speed for hotel guests and conference goers alike.
According to Douglas, internet connectivity is an important feature for hotels and maintaining high standards and meeting client expectations led to the decision to upgrade the Wi-Fi.
She said the hotel had also completed other refurbishments in its conference venue, including the upgrading of the sound, projectors and screens.
“We have also replaced all our conference chairs and the conference centre at the hotel has been kitted out with brand new linen,” she said. “It’s like conferencing in a brand new venue. The upgrades have been very well received by our in-house guests and conference delegates.”
